[APPLY] Newmarket Technician Needed at NCR ATleos

NCR Atleos originally established as the National Cash Register Company in 1884 by John H. Patterson in Dayton, Ohio, has a rich history of innovation. The company initially gained prominence by manufacturing the first mechanical cash registers, revolutionizing transaction recording for businesses. Over the years, NCR expanded its product line to include computing systems, automated teller machines (ATMs) and point-of-sale terminals, solidifying its position as a leader in financial and retail technology solutions.

In 1991, NCR was acquired by AT&T for $7.4 billion, becoming AT&T Global Information Solutions. However, this merger was short-lived; by 1996, NCR regained its independence and reinstated its original name.

The company continued to innovate, focusing on developing advanced technologies for the financial and retail sectors. In 2009, NCR relocated its headquarters from Dayton to the Atlanta metropolitan area, reflecting its commitment to growth and modernization.

A significant transformation occurred in 2023 when NCR announced a strategic reorganization to better serve its diverse clientele. This restructuring led to the creation of two separate entities: NCR Voyix and NCR Atleos.

NCR Voyix focuses on digital commerce solutions, catering to the retail and hospitality industries by offering point-of-sale systems, self-service kiosks and comprehensive software services. Conversely, NCR Atleos specializes in providing financial technology solutions including ATMs, digital banking platforms and payment processing services, primarily targeting banks and financial institutions.

As of October 16, 2023, NCR Atleos operates as an independent public company, distinct from NCR Voyix. This separation allows NCR Atleos to concentrate exclusively on the financial services sector, delivering tailored solutions to enhance operational efficiency and customer engagement for its clients. The company’s leadership comprises seasoned professionals with extensive experience in financial technology, guiding NCR Atleos toward sustained innovation and growth.

Throughout its evolution, NCR Atleos has maintained a steadfast commitment to innovation, adapting to the changing needs of the financial industry. From pioneering mechanical cash registers in the 19th century to developing cutting-edge digital banking solutions in the 21st century, the company’s legacy is marked by a continuous drive to enhance financial transactions and services globally.

NCR Atleos is a globally recognized company headquartered in Atlanta, specializing in enhancing financial accessibility for institutions and businesses worldwide. With a dedicated team of approximately 20,000 professionals, the organization is committed to optimizing banking services, improving operational effectiveness and ensuring seamless self-service experiences for financial institutions and retail businesses across different regions.
