Sales Representative Job with Visa Sponsorship 2025

Caterpillar Inc., established in 1925 originated from the merger of two pioneering companies in the tractor industry: the Holt Manufacturing Company and the C.L. Best Tractor Company. This strategic union combined Holt’s innovative track-type tractors, which had been instrumental during World War I, with Best’s advanced tractor designs, leading to the formation of the Caterpillar Tractor Company. Over the decades, Caterpillar has evolved into a global leader in manufacturing machinery and engines, serving industries such as construction, mining and energy.

The company’s ownership is predominantly held by institutional investors. As of recent data, The Vanguard Group, Inc. is the largest shareholder, owning approximately 9.7% of the outstanding shares. Other significant stakeholders include State Street Corporation and BlackRock Advisors LLC, holding 7.6% and 5.9% of shares, respectively. This institutional ownership underscores the confidence and investment interest from major financial entities in Caterpillar’s operations and future prospects.

Throughout its history, Caterpillar has been at the forefront of innovation in heavy machinery. Notably, in 1972, the company introduced its first hydraulic excavator, the 225, marking a significant advancement in construction equipment technology.

Caterpillar’s commitment to sustainability is evident from its establishment of the first remanufacturing plant in 1973, aiming to refurbish and recycle used components, thereby reducing waste and promoting environmental responsibility.

Today, Caterpillar continues to lead in the development of machinery and engines, maintaining a strong global presence with facilities and operations across multiple continents.
