About the Role

We are currently recruiting Diploma and Certificate III Educators to become an integral part of our teaching team. As an educator at GRO Early Learning, you will play a key role in fostering children’s development through play-based learning and structured educational activities.

Educators at GRO Early Learning are responsible for planning, implementing and evaluating educational programs aligned with the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF). They work closely with children, families and colleagues to create a collaborative and inclusive learning space.

Key Responsibilities

As an educator at GRO Early Learning, you will be responsible for:

Curriculum Development and Implementation

• Planning and executing innovative, play-based learning activities that align with the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF).
• Developing age-appropriate educational programs that support children’s social, emotional, cognitive and physical growth.
• Encouraging exploration, creativity and curiosity through engaging learning experiences.
• Ensuring learning activities cater to diverse needs and abilities, promoting inclusivity in the classroom.

Child Development and Support

• Observing and assessing each child’s learning progress, interests and developmental milestones.
• Providing individualized support to help children achieve their full potential.
• Documenting and maintaining child progress reports, ensuring effective communication with families.
• Supporting children’s well-being and emotional regulation through positive reinforcement strategies.

Classroom and Environment Management

• Creating a safe, stimulating and nurturing environment where children feel secure and valued.
• Maintaining a clean organized and child-friendly learning space.
• Ensuring health and safety regulations are followed at all times.

Parent and Community Engagement

• Building strong relationships with families, ensuring open communication about children’s progress and needs.
• Conducting parent-teacher meetings to discuss children’s development and address any concerns.
• Encouraging parental involvement in learning activities, special events and celebrations.

Team Collaboration and Professional Development

• Working collaboratively with fellow educators, sharing ideas and contributing to team discussions.
• Actively participating in professional development workshops and training sessions.
• Staying up to date with best practices in early childhood education and applying them in daily teaching.

Essential Requirements

To be considered for this role, candidates must meet the following criteria:

Educational Qualifications

• Must possess a Diploma or Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care, recognized by the Australian Children’s Education & Care Quality Authority (ACECQA).
• Candidates without formal qualifications but willing to obtain them are also encouraged to apply.

Clearances and Certifications

• Must hold a valid QLD Working with Children Check or be willing to obtain one before starting.
• Current First Aid, CPR, Asthma and Anaphylaxis management certifications are required (or must be completed upon hiring).

Knowledge and Understanding

• Strong understanding of the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and National Quality Standards (NQS).
• Ability to implement high-quality educational programs in compliance with national regulations.
